TERMS OF USE
AI World Memorials
Effective Date: August 12, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your use of aiworldmemorials.com and AI World Memorials services. By submitting information, uploading materials, purchasing services, managing a memorial, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Memorial Services
AI World Memorials provides digital and printed memorial-production services that may include:
- Digital memorial webpages.
- Mobile memorial experiences.
- Printed obituaries and memorial materials.
- QR-code-connected memorials.
- Memorial photography and image presentation.
- Video and audio presentation.
- Family reflections and guestbook features.
- Human-directed, AI-assisted creative production.
Specific deliverables are determined by the service or package purchased.
2. Designated Family Representative
Each memorial should have a designated family representative.
The representative serves as AI World Memorials’ primary contact for submission of information, media, corrections, approvals, and publication decisions.
AI World Memorials may rely on instructions and approvals received from the designated representative unless notified otherwise.
3. Accuracy of Information
The family is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of names, dates, obituary information, photographs, service information, spelling, relationships, and other memorial content.
AI World Memorials is not responsible for errors contained in information supplied or approved by the family.
4. Rights to Submitted Materials
You retain whatever ownership rights you lawfully hold in materials you submit.
By submitting material, you grant AI World Memorials a limited permission to store, reproduce, edit, format, process, display, transmit, and otherwise use that material as reasonably necessary to create, review, deliver, maintain, and publish the memorial services you request.
You represent that you have the necessary rights or permission to provide the submitted material.
5. Prohibited Material
You may not knowingly submit material that:
- Infringes another person’s copyright, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights.
- Is unlawfully obtained.
- Contains malicious software or harmful code.
- Is fraudulent or intentionally deceptive.
- Is submitted for harassment, impersonation, abuse, or other unlawful purposes.
AI World Memorials may decline or remove material that reasonably appears to violate these requirements.
6. AI-Assisted Content
AI World Memorials may use artificial intelligence as part of a human-directed production workflow.
AI-generated or AI-assisted material may contain imperfections or interpretations that differ from source material. Families are therefore responsible for reviewing and approving final memorial content before publication.
AI World Memorials will not intentionally create a realistic digital likeness or cloned voice of an identifiable person for memorial publication without appropriate authorization.
7. Proofs and Family Approval
Memorials and printed obituary designs may be provided to the designated family representative for approval.
The representative is responsible for carefully reviewing the proof.
Once final approval is provided, subsequent revisions may be subject to additional charges, particularly if printing, publication, video rendering, or other final production has begun.
8. Memorial Media Uploads
Families may receive access to a private Google Drive folder for submitting memorial media.
Access is intended only for the designated family and authorized contributors. Upload links should not be publicly distributed.
Google Drive’s separate terms and policies apply to use of its service. Google explains that users retain their intellectual-property rights in content stored in Drive.
9. Public Memorials and QR Codes
Once a memorial is approved and published, approved content may be accessible publicly through the internet and through QR codes distributed on printed materials.
The family acknowledges that publicly available material may be viewed, downloaded, photographed, copied, linked to, or otherwise preserved by third parties.
AI World Memorials cannot control third-party activity after information has been made publicly accessible.
10. Guestbook and Reflections
Visitors may be permitted to submit condolences, reflections, or other messages.
AI World Memorials may moderate or remove submissions that are abusive, unlawful, fraudulent, unrelated, commercially promotional, or otherwise inappropriate for the memorial.
Publication of a guest submission does not mean AI World Memorials endorses the contributor’s statements.
11. Third-Party Services
Some AI World Memorials functions may rely on third-party services, including cloud storage, hosting, payment processing, email, video, audio, or other technology providers.
Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
12. Availability
We work to maintain memorial availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Temporary interruptions may occur because of maintenance, hosting issues, internet failures, third-party services, security events, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
13. Payments, Cancellations and Refunds
Pricing, deposits, payment schedules, cancellation rights, refunds, and included revisions are governed by the package, proposal, invoice, or service agreement associated with the memorial.
If those documents conflict with these general Terms regarding a purchased service, the applicable signed service agreement or accepted order terms will control for that service.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AI World Memorials will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from use of the website or memorial services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
AI World Memorials may modify its website, services, features, or these Terms as its business and technology evolve.
The effective date above identifies the current version of these Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the State of North Carolina and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
